  1. Dallas County recently purchased 1.6 acres of land on the north end of the Southwestern Medical District, where they will develop a $52 million, 75,000 square-foot bio lab and life science building. According to the Dallas County Commissioners Office, the county will be utilizing funding from the American Rescue Plan Act's State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds to develop the land which will be known as Dallas County's Health and Human Services Public Health Laboratory. The transaction was finalized earlier this month. (D Magazine)
  2. Slutty Vegan, one of Atlanta's most popular restaurants, is making its way to Texas with a brand new location in Dallas. The restaurant will be located on Main Street just across from Pecan Lodge and is slated to open its doors by next month. Their Dallas menu will include the iconic One Night Stand Burger, which is a vegan burger with all-vegan bacon, cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, and so much more! (Eater Dallas)
  3. The Sheraton Hotel in downtown Dallas just announced its brand new package deal for June in celebration of Pride Month. The Pride and Joy Package deal will include a bottle of champagne following check-in, as well as a complimentary buffet breakfast for two at the Sheraton's main restaurant, Open Palette.
