- Rapper/Singer Post Malone has announced the tour dates, and the Dallas Dos Equis Pavilion is slated as one of the stops this summer. The Dallas-Ft. Worth area was able to see Post Malone twice in 2022 with two stops for his Twelve Carat Tour. This year, however, his only Texas dates are in Dallas and Austin. His newest album "Austin" is set to be released on Jul. 28, just a week before the Dallas stop on Aug. 5. General ticket sales will be live this Friday at 10:00 a.m. (CultureMap Dallas)
- Today (May 17), the Dallas Symphony's Concert Truck series is back on the road bringing free outdoor concerts to different locations around the city. There is a full slate of artists who will be performing throughout these two months, bringing a family-friendly experience in 60 minutes. The residency will run through Jun. 11. The tour kicks off today at 2:30 p.m. at The Landon at Lake Highlands, followed by a 6:15 p.m. performance at Highland Park Library. Find the full schedule here. (CultureMap Dallas)
- Dallas police are currently searching for those responsible for the shooting and killing of 26-year-old Ktrell Rodgers who was killed Monday afternoon. Officers responded to a shooting call Monday afternoon on Forest Lane in Far Northeast Dallas, and upon arriving at the scene, officers found Rodgers suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly rushed to the hospital for treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries and died in the hospital. Those responsible are currently unknown and the Dallas Police Department requests any information regarding the incident be reported immediately. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)

- The SPCA of Texas has heard the public requests and will be hosting another Drive-Thru Pet Pantry this coming Sunday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the SPCA of Texas’ Dallas Animal Care Center. - The Dallas Public Library posted a lot of fun different events from holiday celebrations to poetry to other family-friendly events.
