TX Election Results In District 6 House Race, Dallas City Council

DALLAS—Voters in Texas headed to the polls Saturday for the 2021 election. The May 1 ballot included several key contests, including race to fill the the District 6 US House seat vacated when Rep. Ron Wright died of COVID-19 compilations in February. Among the crowded field of 23 contenders: one independent, a Libertarian, 11 Republicans and 10 Democrats.

Also in contention are some 56 candidates vying for 14 positions on the Dallas City Council. Dallas mayor Eric Johnson serves a four-year term and was elected in 2019. He is therefore not on the ballot.
