  1. Over 66 projects are currently underway in the center of downtown San Antonio: "More than $3.1 billion being invested in the central business district of San Antonio; which is going to be amazing for the impact of the future of downtown,” said Charles Woodin, CEO of Geekdom. Residents can track all of the ongoing projects via a live database created by Centro San Antonio. This is considered Downtown San Antonio 2.0, with over 2,600 new apartments and over 1,700 new hotels planned. Stop by KSAT San Antonio for more details.
  2. Murder charges for a San Antonio man, Rene Corrales, were dismissed. Corrales was set for trial on Tuesday for the murder of Mark Rios. In 2017, "Rios was found shot at his home in the 100 block of West Dickson Avenue on the city’s South Side." He later died at a hospital from his gunshot wounds. Court records show that the case was dismissed after a key witness failed to show to testify. Visit KSAT San Antonio for more details.
  3. Visit San Antonio has a new food event that includes five-course meals at the best local restaurants. "The promotion will allow diners to choose from specially developed diners served at Clementine, Pharm, Table, The Jerk Shack, Dashi and other local favorites." Each ticket is priced at $167.37, which will go toward the San Antonio Hospitality Foundation's scholarships for new chefs. Check out the San Antonio Current for more on this story.
