Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:

  1. A car caught fire at a 7-Eleven on Huebner Road while at the pump. The gas station owner quickly shut off the pumps and police and fire crews quickly responded. Officials said that they believe the car caught fire after a malfunction. The driver was able to exit the vehicle without injury and fire crews were able to put out the fire. (WOAI)
  2. A woman accused a landscaper of groping her in her home. She was showing the representative around her home when the incident took place. The woman hired a company to trim her trees. An investigation is ongoing with no company name provided as of yet. The suspect has not been identified and fled the scene before police arrived. (KSAT San Antonio)
  3. San Antonio City Council approved a $950,000 grant to offer therapists for children in foster care. The grant was awarded to Jewish Family Service, which "will hire three therapists who will each take on 17 to 25 foster child patients and remain with them no matter where they are placed in Bexar County." This will fund a two-year pilot program, "Project Launch." (San Antonio Report)
