The Councilwoman stated “I’m honored to have been selected for such a prestigious national security symposium and look forward to the opportunity to learn and have a free and frank exchange of ideas and news concerning our nation’s security.”
NSS guests are introduced to future leaders of the American armed forces and government, and in turn permits our students to gain a better understanding of the society they serve.
Seminar participants are invited to take active part in the discussions and are encouraged to probe and examine the seminar group's ideas vigorously to provide War College students the benefit of their personal experience and perspectives.
“District 6 has the largest number of military veterans in a city where 20 percent of the population is either a veteran or retired military. This is a valuable perspective for the War College symposium’s discussion.”
