SAN ANTONIO, TX — Texans should brace for another cold front sweeping through the region this week, bringing temperatures down to the low 40s by Wednesday night.

"Extensive cloud cover and northeast to east winds will keep temperatures below average with highs in the upper 40s north to near 65 degrees south," the National Weather Service said.

"Fog and drizzle will be widespread, with a few showers possible along the Rio Grande and along and east of I-35."

This Afternoon: A 20 percent chance of showers. Patchy fog before 3pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 57. East northeast wind around 10 mph.

Tonight: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after 9pm. Patchy fog after 9pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 54. Northeast wind around 5 mph.

Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 3pm. Areas of fog before noon. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 67. Southeast wind around 5 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. East wind around 5 mph becoming south after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
