- Thousands of people will head outdoors for Easter festivities, and City Forester Mike Holinsky notes this is a good time to report any trees that appear in distress. After a tree fell on zoo visitors earlier this year, Holinsky advises people to look up at the trees if they plan to camp around or under them. Visit KENS5 for more information on signs of a dying tree and how to report it.
- ¡Provecho! is a new dining event debuting on April 18 and 19. Local chefs "have created five-course menus at their respective restaurants to help raise funds for the San Antonio Hospitality Foundation." Tickets include a five-course meal at a participating restaurant of your choice. To view the impressive list of talented chefs and their restaurants, visit mySA.
- Attention, drivers: Lane closures for the next two Sundays will be due to lane and bridge improvements "along IH-35, south of Thousand Oaks and north of Whirlwind Drive." CPS Energy and TxDOT will work together to replace four transmission structures. Traffic will be redirected as workers will occupy both sides of the highway and access roads. Drivers can visit the TXDoT website for more information about this project. (550 KTSA)
