Ernest Rische announced he had purchased the Old Cobweb saloon at 202 E. Houston and that he is changing its name to the Old Turner Hall Saloon.

Participants in a forum on homosexual rights last night mapped plans for a march tomorrow to culminate local observances of “Gay Pride Week” here in San Antonio.

1998

Christie’s, the longtime San Antonio seafood restaurant that first opened its doors in 1942, closes for good (right).
