Reach Resilience Announces Partnership with Feeding America® to Help End Hunger

Pledging to Help Provide 10 Million Meals* in Texas

Texas leads the nation with the highest number of people experiencing food insecurity, with 5.4 million people, including nearly 1.7 million children, facing hunger, according to the Feeding America® “Map the Meal Gap” report.

In response, Reach Resilience is announcing a $1 million commitment to Feeding America to help provide 10 million meals* to families and individuals across Texas.

The funding focuses on communities with high rates of food insecurity, including rural counties where child hunger rates can reach as high as 50%, and urban areas like Dallas-Fort Worth, which now ranks third nationally in total number of people facing hunger.

In total, Reach Resilience’s funding will support 11 food banks in Texas that are part of the Feeding America network of partner food banks. These food banks are also located in communities where Endeavors, Reach Resilience’s philanthropic partner, provides critical services for vulnerable populations — including veterans, military families and individuals in crisis. Together, the two organizations are helping to ensure communities have access to the food they need to thrive.

The food banks are:

Our $1 million grant is more than a contribution; it is a commitment to our shared vision of building stronger, healthier communities.”

Linda Nageotte, Feeding America’s President & Chief Operating Officer, emphasized the importance of collaboration in helping to end hunger: “With nearly 1 in 7 people facing hunger across the country, partnerships are essential to helping families access the meals they need to thrive,” she said.

“We’re grateful to Reach Resilience for joining us in the mission to end hunger and supporting communities that are working hard to build a brighter future.”

Through this collaboration, Reach Resilience and Feeding America are focused on strengthening efforts to end hunger in Texas. By addressing food insecurity directly, this partnership will not only provide immediate relief but also help pave the way for long-term solutions to support thriving communities.
