Good morning! It's Tuesday, and hopefully your week is going well so far. Here's what you need to know to start your day.
Millions Without Power
More than 7 million homes and businesses have been left without electricity as utility companies struggle to restore power across Florida in the wake of Irma. After slamming into the Florida Keys Sunday morning as a Category 4 storm with 130 mph winds that toppled trees, left power lines strewn like spaghetti throughout neighborhoods and flooded streets, the hurricane blew out of Florida Monday. Now a tropical storm, Irma is predicted to move through southwestern Georgia and eastern Alabama as we head into Tuesday. (Patch)

Pope Francis Criticizes Trump Over DACA
Reigniting previous tensions, notable during the 2016 presidential campaign, Pope Francis criticized President Trump's rescinding of DACA. The Obama-era program offered protections and opportunities to undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as minors. The Trump administration announced last week that it would begin winding down the program over six months. The pope said Monday during a news conference that if Trump really considers himself "pro-life," he should favor policies that keep families together. (CNN)
