Saturday's South Carolina Republican Debate: Time, Place and Candidates

A shrunken field of Republican presidential candidates was preparing Saturday to debate in South Carolina.

Time of the debate: 9 p.m., airing on CBS from The Peace Center in Greenville, SC.

With Chris Christie and Carly Fiorini now out of the race following dismal showings in New Hampshire, only six candidates will be on stage: Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, John Kasich, Jeb Bush and Ben Carson.

Face the Nation anchor John Dickerson is the principal moderator and will be joined by panelists CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Major Garrett and The Wall Street Journal‘s Kimberley Strassel.

Christie had been huddling with his campaign aides following the New Hampshire primaries, and the New Jersey governor took to Facebook Wednesday to say he has formally suspended his campaign and ended his bid for the Republican nomination.
