Texas Teen Kills Himself While Taking a Selfie With a Gun

A teenager from southwest Houston was taking a selfie with a gun when it fired and killed him.

Deleon Alonso Smith, 19, was shot in the throat, according to CNN.

“It’s the worst feeling in my life,” Eric Douglas, the victim’s uncle said.

“It’s a numb feeling. It’s still unbelievable,” Smith’s grandmother Alma Douglas said. “Yesterday was my birthday and he came to wish me happy birthday, and then to hear this kind of news.”

Smith’s cousin said he had found the gun earlier in the day and didn’t know it was loaded.
