Two New Restaurants Opening on West Avenue This Fall
There will be even more places to get your grub on downtown.

There are two new, highly anticipated restaurants opening on West Avenue this fall, according to Eater.com.
Boiler Nine Bar + Grill will open sometime this fall at 214 West Ave. Located at the now-closed Seaholm power plant, the 11,000-foot restaurant will be four stories and include a rooftop bar and a basement lounge. Austin’s Eater.com says the restaurant will be “a temple to all things grilled and smoked,” led by chef Jason Stude.
And Irene’s is a New American restaurant opening in November or December at 506 West Ave. Located at the former Joe’s Bar and Grill, Irene’s is billed as “unpretentious.” The restaurant is “named after partner Chad Gluckson’s grandmother, whom he described as a ‘drinking, smoking, gambling woman with an immense heart and a keen understanding of true hospitality.’”
