Burlington hotel restaurant closing this month for a rebrand next year (burlingtonfreepress.com) — Bleu Northeast Kitchen at the Courtyard by Marriott Burlington Harbor will close December 31 before reopening in spring with a new concept at Battery and Cherry streets. The waterfront hotel restaurant will pause service early in the new year while the team rebrands, promising a refreshed dining experience for Burlington residents and visitors.

Community spotlights organ donation (mychamplainvalley.com) — Organ donation advocates and New England Donor Services gathered at Burlington City Hall to highlight how one donor can save up to eight lives. Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak issued a proclamation honoring donors, while local families shared powerful stories of loss, gratitude, and how transplants have transformed their lives.

Tarrant Foundation to close on December 31 (vermontbiz.com) — A major Vermont philanthropic player, the Tarrant Foundation, will shut down on December 31 after two decades of work, with its final film project moving to the Vermont Community Foundation. 4. Fairfax shooting suspect arrested (vermontdailychronicle.com) — Two people wounded in a Fairfax shooting were ultimately transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. State police arrested a Fairfax man on attempted murder and related charges after an early-morning incident at an apartment building. He is being held without bail ahead of a scheduled court appearance in St. Albans.
