• Instructional assistant in Fairfax County accused of assaulting student at Annandale HS (wjla.com) — An Annandale-based instructional assistant has been charged with simple assault after police say a student was allegedly assaulted at Annandale High School on Dec. 19. Fairfax County Public Schools has placed the employee on administrative leave, and detectives are asking anyone with information about this or related incidents to contact the Major Crimes Bureau or submit an anonymous tip.
