Two Face Assault, Robbery Charges After Incident in Annandale: Police

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police say a man was assaulted and robbed early Sunday in Annandale. The incident took place in the 4300 block of Greenberry Lane (see map below) Sunday at 12:08 a.m.

A 37-year-old man was walking home with some friends when two men approached him and asked for money, according to police. The victim refused and the men assaulted him, police said.

Police responded and located the suspects fleeing the area. Randy Castro Zavaleta, 19, of Springfield and Richard Rangel, 20, of Springfield were arrested, transported to the adult detention center, and charged with malicious wounding and robbery, police said.
