2 Residents, 1 Firefighter Hurt In New Year's Day Fire In Fairfax County
Firefighters found heavy fire showing from the rear of the Great Falls home, extending into the attic, county fire officials said.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Two residents and a firefighter were evaluated with non-life-threatening injuries after a blaze broke out at a home in Fairfax County early on New Year’s Day, authorities said.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue was called to the two-alarm fire in the 11100 block of Rich Meadow Drive in Great Falls. Firefighters found heavy fire showing from the rear of the home, extending into the attic, the fire department said on social media.
After crews extinguished the flame and searched, the fire was deemed under control.

All occupants of the house are accounted for, authorities said.
A possible cause of the fire and estimated damage have not been released.
