Found: Missing Middle School Teens Reunited with Families

Frost Middle schoolers Facette "Danielle" Lema, 13 and Rudy Torzano, 14, went missing May 11 and were found Wednesday, police said.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Missing teens Facette “Danielle” Lema and Rudy Torzano were located Wednesday in Baltimore and have been reunited with their families, Fairfax County Police announced Thursday.

The two students from Frost Middle School were reported missing May 11.

The successful resolution of the investigation was due to the collaborative effort of numerous law enforcement agencies, news media, and the community, police said.

The Fairfax County Police Department said they would like to express particular gratitude and appreciation to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Washington Field Office for their tremendous assistance on this case.

Detectives asked for the public’s assistance in locating the 13-year-old girl, “Daniel” and the 14-year-old boy, Rudy who were reported missing around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, according to Fairfax County Police.

Police said during the investigation that the two were headed to Baltimore, after possibly fleeing the area by taxi to Jessup, Md., according to a report by WJLA. It was noted that "Daniel" has connections in Baltimore.

No further information was available from police regarding the teens' motive for their actions.
