
Fairfax City Police are investigating strange calls from Jamaica, a Chuck E Cheese larceny and a missing Rebel backpack. Details:
- Someone(s) stole a cell phone from a table inside Chuck E Cheese before 1:40 p.m. Saturday.
- A Peterson Street woman sent an $85 money order to Louisiana, expecting $150,000 in return. She never received the money promised to her by the unknown caller. The victim called police Monday after he called again asking her to send even more money to Colorado. Police believe the calls where from an individual in Jamaica.
- Police are looking for someone(s) who stole a Fairfax High School student's backpack from school grounds sometime after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The backpack held cash, identification, cell phone, keys and school papers. It had been taken from his unlocked locker.
