Fairfax Man Cited After Police Called Twice In One Night To Same Location
City of Fairfax Police arrested a Fairfax man after they responded twice in one night for a disturbance in the same apartment complex.

FAIRFAX, VA — A 58-year-old Fairfax man is facing multiple charges, including disorderly conduct, after he caused a disturbance twice in the same night at an apartment complex in the city, according to authorities.
Officers from the City of Fairfax Police Department responded around 7:19 p.m. for the report of a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 4000 block of Gateway Drive, according to the incident report.
The person who contacted police said that a man was yelling and threatening them in the common area of the apartment complex. The officers de-escalated the situation and escorted the person who reported the incident back to their apartment, according to police.

Officers were called back to the same apartment complex a short time later for a disturbance involving the same man, according to police. They arrested Eric Allen and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
During their investigation, the officers determined that Allen was under the influence of alcohol. In addition to the disorderly conduct charge, the officers charged Allen with being drunk in public. Allen was held in the ADC until he was deemed sober and released on a summons, according to police.

Allen has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 15 in Fairfax City General District Court, according to court documents.
The intoxicated in public charge is considered a class 4 misdemeanor, which carries a maximum penalty of a $250 fine, according to the Code of Virginia. The causing a disturbance charge is considered a class 1 misdemeanor. If found guilty, Allen faces a possible sentence of up to 12 months in jail and/or a fine of up to $2,500.
