Teen Girl Riding Bike In Westover Injured In Crash
A teen girl who was riding her bicycle along North Jefferson Street early Friday was injured in a crash, according to police.

ARLINGTON, VA — A girl in her teens was injured after she was struck by a vehicle while she was riding a bicycle early Friday in the Westover area, according to Arlington County Police.
Officers responded around 7:19 a.m. for the report of a crash with injuries at North Jefferson Street and 15th Street North, according to the preliminary incident report. The officers determined that a bicyclist traveling on North 15th Street was hit by a vehicle at the North Jefferson Street intersection.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene and the bicyclist was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. She was reported in stable condition.

Investigators determined that the bicyclist failed to stop at the stop sign prior to entering the intersection, police say. No citations were issued in connection with this incident.
