UPDATED: Tornado Watch Until 4 in Fairfax City, Surrounding Towns
Stay indoors, away from heavy rain, lightning, hail and, of course, tornadoes.
UPDATE (12:47 p.m.): NWS has canceled the tornado watch. Heavy rain and thunderstorms still in the forecast.
Don't expect to see the sun until tomorrow. Monday's forecast calls for heavy rain all day and all night. And let's not forget the possibility of thunderstorms and tornadoes.
The National Weather Service urges Fairfax City residents to keep an eye on the sky (and television reports, radio updates and Fairfax City Patch posts, of course) until 4 p.m. today for a regional tornado watch.

You can prepare for severe weather, including high winds, cloud-to-ground lightning and hail, by staying indoors. Stay alert when driving home from work this afternoon.
