Traffic Delays: Three University Drive Lanes Close at 8 p.m. Sunday

Release, City of Fairfax:

On Sunday, 7/24 from 8PM-5AM 3 lanes of University Dr will be closed; 2 northbound and one southbound. Northbound University Dr traffic will be redirected to east and westbound Main St.

Motorists may use westbound Main St to northbound Chain Bridge Rd to eastbound North St to detour around the workzone and return to University Dr.

Pedestrians will be able to access all buildings while work is taking place.

Chain Bridge Rd will be an alternate north-south route through downtown Fairfax which will avoid the work zone. North St can be used as an east-west alternate route.
