Closure Of Ramp Planned From Telegraph Road To Fairfax County Parkway
The ramp from Telegraph Road to southbound Fairfax County Parkway in Newington will be closed from July 20 through July 31, VDOT said.
NEWINGTON, VA — Stormwater pipe repairs will force detours for motorists wanting to travel from Telegraph Road to Fairfax County Parkway in Newington starting on Thursday, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The ramp from Telegraph Road to southbound Fairfax County Parkway will be closed from 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 20 to 5 a.m. on Monday, July 31.
Traffic will be detoured during the 11-day period using these routes:

- Northbound Telegraph Road to southbound Fairfax County Parkway: Northbound Telegraph Road, southbound Jeff Todd Way (Route 619) and southbound Route 1 (Richmond Highway) back to Fairfax County Parkway
- Southbound Telegraph Road to southbound Fairfax County Parkway: Southbound Telegraph Road and northbound Route 1 back to Fairfax County Parkway
VDOT will post signs to guide motorists to the detour routes.
