Fairfax Board Of Supervisors Chairman Tests Positive For COVID
Chairman Jeffrey McKay is experiencing mild COVID-19 symptoms and is working from home as the board is set to meet Tuesday.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeffrey McKay announced a positive COVID-19 test Monday.
McKay said he is experiencing "minor symptoms which are uncomfortable but manageable." He is fully vaccinated with a booster shot, which he believes helps against a more severe outcome.
"I encourage everyone to get vaccinated and boosted as it is clear while many people may be 'done' with COVID-19, the virus is certainly not finished with us," said McKay in a statement. "Stay vigilant: wear your mask in indoor and populated settings, maintain social distance, wash your hands, and hopefully we will see the end of this pandemic soon."
