Battle Of The Badges: Fairfax Co. Police To Play Fire And Rescue In Charity Hockey Game

The Fairfax County Police Department and the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department are facing off Saturday in a charity hockey game.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — The Fairfax County Police Department and the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department are facing off on Saturday in Springfield for a charity hockey game.

The hockey game starts at 1 p.m. on May 20 at The St. James sports complex at 6805 Industrial Road in Springfield.

In their 2022 charity matchup, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue team scored a 6-2 victory against the Fairfax County Police Department team at Reston SkateQuest.

Along with competing for bragging rights, the county police and fire departments will be raising awareness and funds for First Help, an organization that helps support mental health and suicide prevention for first responders.

The event is free for fans to attend and root on their favorite first responders. Donations for First Help will be accepted at the door.
