Family Of Murdered Springfield Woman Holds Fundraising Campaign
An online fundraising campaign has been launched to help the family of Evelin Cali, a Springfield woman who was killed in her home.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — An online fundraising campaign was launched to help the family of Evelin Cali, a Springfield woman who was killed in her home on Sunday. The family plans to use the funds to cover the cost of Cali's funeral.
Fairfax County Police have charged Cali's husband, Jose Hernandez Mejia, in her stabbing death. Hernandez Mejia, who was arrested in South Carolina on Monday, is awaiting extradition to Fairfax County on a second-degree murder charge.
Cali was found dead from multiple stab wounds on Sunday in the upstairs bedroom of their home in the 5200 block of Rolling Road in Springfield.

Cali leaves behind four children, ages 19, 17, 12, and 7.
“We are in complete shock over the events and need help in supporting my four cousins in this time of need. They have been left parentless,” Cali's niece, Nataly Wildes, wrote in a GoFundMe campaign message. “Any donation helps, thank you."

Wildes said her brother Miguel Vasquez Monzon will use the funds to pay for funeral costs.
