GreenDrop To Hold Grand Opening For Franconia Donation Drop-Off Center
GreenDrop is opening a new donation center in the Festival at Manchester Lakes shopping center parking lot at 9 a.m. on Friday.

FRANCONIA, VA — GreenDrop is holding a grand opening ceremony for its new donation center in the Festival at Manchester Lakes shopping center parking lot at 10 a.m. on Friday.
The donation site will provide Fairfax County residents with a safe location to donate their gently used items to GreenDrop's nonprofit partners: the American Red Cross, Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation and the National Federation of the Blind.
Del. Mark Sickles (D-43rd District), Franconia District Supervisor Rodney Lusk, Mount Vernon Lee Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Holly Dougherty, American Red Cross National Capital Area Executive Director Courtney Bulger and other officials will be attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday.

The new donation center at Festival at Manchester Lakes donation center is located 7015 Manchester Blvd., Franconia, in the shopping center’s parking lot by Boardwalk Fries. The donation center will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accept drop-offs of lightly used clothing, shoes, blankets, kitchenware, and household goods.

At the Festival at Manchester Lakes location, donors drive up to the donation center, where they are greeted by a GreenDrop attendant who collects the items and asks the donor to indicate the nonprofit they would like their donation to benefit. Donors in return receive a tax-deductible receipt.
GreenDrop, a for-profit company, has more than 40 charitable donation centers in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, D.C. and New York.
