Man Charged With Taking 'Upskirt' Videos, Masturbating at Shopping Center: Police
The Edgewater, Md., man arrested Sunday after allegedly taking videos up women's skirts at mall, according to Fairfax County Police.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Fairfax County Police arrested a Maryland man Sunday afternoon for allegedly taking upskirt videos and masturbating at the Springfield Town Center.
Miguel Avelar-Medina, 32, of Edgewater, Md., is charged with one count of masturbating in public and two counts of unlawful videotaping.
Officers were called at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday for a report of a man taking videos of women up their skirts at the mall, in the 6600 block of Springfield Mall, according to police.

An investigation determined that the victims were unaware of the videotaping. The suspect was allegedly touching himself inappropriately while recording the victims, police said.
Responding officers located the suspect and arrested him.
