Pets Of All Kinds Available At Fairfax County Animal Shelter

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Is your family looking to grow with a new furry friend? Consider starting your search at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, which provides shelter for pets and finds them new homes.

Patch is partnering with the animal shelter to regularly feature adoptable pets. Today we're featuring all kinds of different pets available at the animal shelter.

Small pets like guinea pigs and rabbits might be a good fit for some homes. Lizzo the guinea pig may not sing like her namesake, but she's a good companion for families with children. She's hoping to get adopted as a trio with her mother and sister.

Rabbits are animals that typically require more responsibility than guinea pigs, but they can be great furry companions. Snickerdoodle is a sweet bunny who loves exploring indoors.

For the cat people, there are some fun felines to meet at the animal shelter. Bambi is named for her fawn-like fur color. This kitty loves to play and gets along with people well.

Last but not least are the dogs who would be perfect companions on a spring walk. Hunter is a huge fan of toys, including fetch and tug-of-war. He's friendly with people but would need to be the only dog in a home.
