Pride Night Out At Springfield Town Center To Benefit Safe Space NOVA
Springfield Town Center is hosting a family-friendly Pride Night Out event on Friday, June 23 in partnership with Safe Space NOVA.
SPRINGFIELD, VA — Springfield Town Center is hosting a Pride Night Out on Friday, June 23 in partnership with Safe Space NOVA, an organization dedicated to combating social stigmas and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth.
The family-friendly pride celebration, the first time that Springfield Town Center has hosted a pride event, will feature entertainment for all ages, including music, a pride photo booth, community vendors and giveaways.
"We at Safe Space NOVA are incredibly proud of our partnership with Springfield Town Center to bring Northern Virginia LGBTQ+ youth an opportunity to celebrate, have fun, and experience joy in a safe and accepting environment," Jordan Costen-Sumpter, executive director of Safe Space NOVA, said in a statement.

The Pride Night Out event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on June 23 in Springfield Town Center’s Grand Court area on the lower level near Starbucks.
Entertainment and activities at the June 23 event will include a drag performance and charity meet and greet; DJ Pierre with Exclusively Entertainment; pride-themed glitter tattoos and face painting; and a pride photo booth with a selfie station.

The night will also include rock decorating with pride-themed inspirational messages and a banner project where attendees will get to say what pride means to them.
Raffle prizes will include two tickets to Wolf Trap’s Out & About Festival and tickets to Washington Mystic’s games.
In addition to Pride Night Out, Springfield Town Center will be fundraising for Safe Space NOVA throughout the remainder of Pride month. The public can visit the fundraising website to donate money to Safe Space NOVA.
Safe Space NOVA's goal is to ensure that 14- to 18-year-old LGBTQ+ youth in Northern Virginia have access to an organization and activities that promote equality.
