FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police have released a new photo (above) Thursday of the car they say belongs to a suspect in a sex assault and robbery in Springfield.

Further investigation revealed the new footage of the robbery and sexual assault that occurred Wednesday, March 30 in the 7000 block of Commerce Street.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Division are continuing the investigation and have canvassed the area extensively. We are asking the community for their assistance in helping to identify the suspect.

A 40-year-old woman was walking alone behind the shopping center when an unknown male grabbed her and pulled her into a storage container where he robbed and sexually assaulted her, according to police. The victim was able to get home and then call police.
