Uber Driver Robbed After Taking Passengers to Impound Lot Off S. Van Dorn Street

Police say that four passengers left the scene after they robbed the driver at an impound lot.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police say an Uber driver was robbed after taking four passengers to a car impound lot early Friday morning off of S. Van Dorn Street.

Officers responded just before 2 a.m. Friday to a report of a driver who picked up four passengers, drove them to a tow lot in the 5600 block of Vine Street off of S. Van Dorn (see map below), when one suspect took property and cash from the victim, according to police.

Another suspect retrieved a vehicle from the tow lot and the four suspects fled the scene, police said. Three suspects were described as black females and one was a black male, according to police. The victim did not require medical attention.
