Volunteer Fair At Springfield Town Center To Host Dozens Of Nonprofits

The Venture into Volunteering Fair at Springfield Town Center on Oct. 15 will offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities to the public.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — The Venture into Volunteering Fair is coming to Springfield Town Center, where more than three dozen nonprofits and government agencies will be on hand promoting volunteer opportunities with their organizations.

The fair will take place on the lower level of Springfield Town Center on Sunday, Oct. 15 from noon to 4 p.m. It will be held in conjunction with the annual Beacon 50+ Expo, which will be located on the upper level of Springfield Town Center.

The volunteer fair, organized by the Fairfax County Department of Family Services, will be free, with giveaways and door prizes for attendees.

“Have you been thinking about volunteering? Looking to add new and enriching activities to your life? Want to create new connections? The annual Venture into Volunteering fair is back in-person this year!” the fair website says.

Representatives from nonprofit groups and local government agencies will share information about various ways to volunteer. Groups will have opportunities for people who have time to volunteer only one or two hours a week, as well as volunteer activities for people who can make a bigger commitment.

Free parking for the fair will be available at the Springfield Town Center entrance between Yard House and Maggiano's Little Italy.
