  1. A 72-year-old man was killed in a Campbell County motorcycle crash. The motorcyclist was traveling north on Route 650 when he crossed the center line, ran off the road, and struck a mailbox, where he died on the scene. A woman passenger on the motorcycle was taken to a nearby hospital for her injuries. (WSET)
  2. Four Lynchburg residents were honored on Sunday night during the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities' Humanitarian Awards banquet. These four individuals were awarded for their work behind the scenes to make Lynchburg a better community. All four honorees assist those in substance abuse recovery, whether through the clinics they work for or are dedicated to the mission. (WSET)
  3. The 30th annual Day of Caring event reminded Lynchburg residents that small actions could lead to monumental transformations within the community. Organized by the United Way of Central Virginia in Lynchburg, the event saw a resurgence of support and interest in the organization's mission. Around 700 individuals were in attendance on the day of the event on Wednesday. (Lynchburg News and Advance)

  • The Lynchburg City Council announced a new curfew for minors starting today, May 26. This new curfew will last until Dec. 1, with hopes of protecting the city's children from violence. (WFXRTV )
  • On Jun. 2, Lynchburg, Roanoke, and Charlottesville Duck Donuts locations will celebrate "National Donut Day" by giving away free cinnamon sugar doughnuts! Each customer will get one doughnut in-store only, with no purchase necessary. (WSET)
  • Upcoming construction will occur at the intersection of Rivermont Avenue and Bedford Avenue in Lynchburg. Construction will begin on May 30, lasting up to four months. (WFXRTV)
