- Lynchburg Peacekeepers are stepping in to help reduce crime in the area after a 6-year-old child was shot and killed. Kingston Campbell was shot in his home while playing video games on his bed. In remembrance of a life taken too soon, the Peacekeepers will install cameras on Floyd Street, where Campbell was killed. (WSLS 10)
- Dellarease White of Lynchburg claimed her EBT funds were stolen after she attempted to go to the store for groceries. White immediately called social services and was told someone from New York had spent her stamp funds. After telling them she wasn't from New York and asking for a refund, they refused, saying she would likely never receive it. (WSET)
- In 2020, a young child died under the care of Brandy Parker, and after several months of investigating, she has been charged with felony murder. At the time of the incident, Lynchburg officers were called to Brookside Apartments when they found a child not breathing. The child ended up passing away, and the caregiver, Parker, was being investigated for child abuse and neglect, in which she has been charged. (WSLS 10)
