- Lynchburg police said they will not seek charges in the Apr. 18 collision that killed 3-year-old Logan Kozlowski at the Timberlake Dixie Youth Baseball Field. Kozlowski was killed after falling and being run over by an F-250 pickup, which, according to witnesses, was moving at a low speed. "Based on interviews with the driver ... as well as observations of the interior of the truck, there is no evidence suggesting that the driver was distracted," police said. The driver reported he was driving slowly, trying to locate a parking space. (WDBJ)

An unknown person told police a group parked near 17th Street and Spencer Place and then walked off. The person said they heard gunshots, and the group returned to the car and drove off.
