Book Signing Part Of Relocated Barnes & Noble Grand Opening In Manassas
Barnes & Noble has a new bookstore opening in Manassas, not far from its former location of 25 years.

MANASSAS, VA — Barnes & Noble has found a new location for its bookstore in Manassas, not far from its former location. A grand opening is set for Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The new Barnes & Noble is located at Bull Run Plaza, 10776 Sudley Manor Dr, Manassas, VA. The space was formerly occupied by Dollar Tree. The store will open to the public at 10 a.m. on Oct. 16. Author Maggie Stiefvater will cut the ribbon and sign copies of her books.
"We are so pleased to return to Manassas in time for the holiday season," said James Daunt, CEO of Barnes & Noble. "When we vacated our previous Sudley Road location earlier this year, it was a top priority to find a new home in this community. Now it is our great pleasure to open this beautiful new Barnes & Noble just five minutes away from where we spent the last 25 years."

The new location features Barnes & Noble's updated store design. Customers will find books, toys, games and gifts at the store. The store has social media pages under the handle @bnmanassas.
The relocated Manassas bookstore is one of nine Barnes & Noble locations opening in October, joining others in Florida, Texas, Virginia, Missouri, Illinois, South Carolina, New York and Washington, DC. According to Barnes & Noble, the brand is experiencing growth as it gives control of stores to local booksellers following more than 15 years of declining store numbers. In 2023, Barnes & Noble opened more new bookstores than it had from 2009 to 2019. It plans to open more than 50 new stores in 2024.
