First Chipotle In City Of Manassas To Locate Near Hospital

MANASSAS, VA — Chipotle's signature burritos and bowls will soon be served up in the first City of Manassas location.

Chipotle Mexican Grill will open a location at the Canterbury Village Shopping Center in Manassas, according to the city's economic development department. An opening date is not yet available and will be shared at a later time.

"The restaurant will provide a much-anticipated dining option for patients and staff of UVA Health Prince William Medical Center—one of our largest City employers—and others along the Sudley Medical Corridor," the City of Manassas Economic Development said in a newsletter.

While the City of Manassas technically does not have a Chipotle, there are others across county lines. The closest Chipotle is on the Prince William County side of Liberia Avenue, which includes commercial areas on the western side.

According to the economic development department, the city's retail vacancy level stands at 2.4 percent.
