MANASSAS, VA — The latest red light camera location in the City of Manassas ended its warning period as enforcement began Monday.

The red light camera is located at the Liberia and Mathis Avenues intersection. Manassas Police said studies showed a history of crashes and violations at the intersection.

After the 30-day warning period that started on Nov. 1, enforcement of red light violations at the intersection was set to begin Dec. 1. The fine is a $50 civil penalty and does not impact driver's license points. Manassas police officers will review recordings to confirm a violation occurred before a citation is sent to the registered vehicle owner.
