Police: Intoxicated Man Assaults Officer at Ruby Tuesday
Man cursed at people in the restaurant and refused to leave Jan. 10, the Manassas City Police report.

A man was arrested after physically and verbally assaulting law enforcement, according to the Manassas City Police.
Officials responded to Ruby Tuesday, 9504 Liberia Avenue, around 1:50 p.m. Saturday. The reporting party told police that an intoxicated man, Abu Gbla, 33, brought his own alcohol to the restaurant, was being disorderly, and refused to leave. According to the Manassas City Police, Gbla was asked to leave and continued to curse and yell at customers and staff.

Gbla allegedly tried to resist arrest when police attempted to escort him out of the restaurant. In the process he physically assaulted one of the officers, according to police. Gbla was transported to a detention center where he allegedly continued to act disorderly and verbally threaten officers.
Gbla was charged with felony assault on a law enforcement officer, misdemeanor obstruction, resisting lawful arrest by force, disorderly conduct, trespassing, and intoxicated in public. He was held without bond and has a court date of March 10.
