Thrift Store Savers Seeks To Replace Closed Big Lots In Manassas
A thrift store could become the new tenant in a space formerly occupied by Big Lots, according to a media report.

MANASSAS, VA — A new retailer could be in the works to fill a space vacated by Big Lots in Manassas.
Washington Business Journal reported a site plan was submitted for a Savers thrift store at 7743 Sudley Road in the Manassas area of Prince William County. Savers is known for its massive thrift stores and donation centers accepting clothing and household items. The thrift store chain has other Northern Virginia locations in the Woodbridge, Fairfax, Merrifield and Mount Vernon areas.
The Sudley Road corridor of Manassas has at least one other similar thrift store — Goodwill — plus a McKay Used Books.

The Manassas Big Lots store was one of the first Virginia closures in 2024 amid financial troubles for the retailer. Many of the Big Lots locations have closed, including all of the stores in the immediate Northern Virginia region.
