Weather Decision Made For Wednesday: Prince William County Schools

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Prince William County Schools will open two hours late on Wednesday due to concerns about road conditions and inclement weather.

Manassas City Public Schools will also operate on a two-hour delay.

Both school systems could shift to a full closure, depending on road conditions. Any updates will be posted on the school systems' websites by 6 a.m.

School systems throughout the region cancelled classes on Tuesday. Snow storms arrived on Monday, dumping several inches of snow on Northern Virginia roadways.

Snowfall totals on Monday and Tuesday ranged from 2 inches in Washington, D.C., to 5 inches in the Reston part of Fairfax County.

Dale City saw 2.8 inches of snow, while Gainesville and Haymarket recorded 4 inches.

• Thursday Night: A chance of snow after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 30. Northeast wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Friday: Snow, mainly before 1pm. High near 33. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
• Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 19.
• Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 26. Blustery.
• Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 17.
• Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 32.
