GREAT FALLS, VA — A GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $10,000 to help the owners of Krop's Crops rebuild their farm stand on Georgetown Pike that was destroyed by fire last Tuesday night.

"We never could have imagined the support we got from so many of you," the owners posted on their company's website. "We are forever grateful for everyone's offer to help out and although we are unable to begin cleaning up and rebuilding until the investigation is complete, in the meantime, the best way we have found for everyone to help is to pass the word by posting our GoFundMe to any social platforms you may be part of."

Fire marshals were still investigating what started the fire as well as the extent of damage, a Fairfax County Fire and Rescue spokeswoman told Patch on Monday.

As of 3 p.m. on Monday, the GoFundMe campaign had received a total of $10,340 via 83 donations toward its goal of $13,000.

"Just wanted to say how grateful the Krop family is for the outpouring of support. We are getting so close to reaching our goal and every donation has made a big difference," GoFundMe organizer Kiri Pugh posted on Saturday. "Krop's Crops is open for business as well and would be thrilled to sell a pumpkin or host a campfire for you!"
