DULLES, VA — Eighteen people were taken to receive medical attention after a mobile lounge at Dulles International Airport crashed into a dock, according to an airport spokesperson.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Monday when the lounge was moving passengers to Concourse D and hit the dock at an angle while pulling up to the building, Crystal Nosal of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said in an email.

Passengers left the lounge by stairs and were evaluated, according to Nosal, who said none of the 18 people who were taken to get medical care suffered life-threatening injuries. Nosal originally said eight were taken to the hospital, but in a later update said that 18 were transported.
