County Cancels Latino Festival of Reston Due to Inclement Weather

The festival was scheduled for Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Southgate Community Center

More cancelations continue to roll in as the East Coast braces for intense rainfall and the potential arrival of Hurricane Joaquin this weekend.

Fairfax County Government announced Thursday afternoon at the 2015 Latino Festival of Reston has been canceled due to inclement weather. The festival was scheduled for Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Southgate Community Center on Pinecrest Road in Reston.

The festival was meant to share and celebrate Latino heritage and culture in honor of National Latino Heritage Month. This was the sixth year in a row Reston was to host the event.
