After taking Muzammil to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, police charged him with second-degree murder and use of firearm in commission of felony. He was then held without bond, according to police.

Muzammil was scheduled to be arraigned at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Fairfax County General District Court and a preliminary hearing was set for Dec. 16.
