Boy Found Dead Near Dulles Toll Road

Investigators are seeking the public's help in identifying suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a juvenile male Wednesday night.

RESTON, VA — Detectives with the Fairfax County Police Department are asking the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a juvenile male Wednesday night in the Hutchinson neighborhood, according to authorities.

Officers responded around 9:31 a.m. for a suspicious person report in the 13000 block of Parcher Avenue between the Town of Herndon and the Dulles Toll Road.

“A community member reported that an unconscious man was lying on the ground, possibly injured or asleep,” according to the incident report. “Officers responded and located an unresponsive juvenile male victim with a gunshot wound to his lower body. He was declared deceased at the scene. Preliminarily, this does not appear to be a random act.”

The victim’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of the boy’s death, according to the investigators.
