Puppy Training Classes Coming To Woofie’s Reston-Herndon

RESTON/HERNDON — Woofie’s Reston-Herndon is adding puppy training classes to the list of services it provides to dog owners and their pets in the area.

The pet services company will hold Puppy Pre-K and Puppy Kindergarten small group class at its Reston office at 1897 Preston White Drive starting in the first week of January.

Puppy Pre-K and Kindergarten classes are open to puppies six months and under, and classes will run for six sessions. Pet owners, along with their puppies, will learn proper socialization, basic commands such as “sit” and “stay,” and learn how to prevent unwanted behaviors.

“So many people adopted puppies over this past year, so we wanted to offer dog training as another service option,” Woofie’s Reston-Herndon owner Tanya Lee said Tuesday in a statement.

Woofie’s Reston-Herndon, which opened in 2018, offers pet services such as pet sitting, dog walking and Mobile Pet Spa grooming. In addition to the small group puppy classes, Woofie’s Reston-Herndon also offers private one-on-one training, play-based learning, and adult basic and intermediate obedience.

Areas of training expertise include counseling clients who are considering adding a new puppy or rescue dog to their family, and training with clients who have already adopted a puppy or rescue dog.

Woofie’s Reston-Herndon’s dog training team — Michele Khol, Beatrix Beri and Eliza Jamison — have close to 30 years of combined experience in dog training along with certifications by the American Kennel Club and the International Association of Canine Professionals.
